Tired, but not defeated

I have been sick all week long. Tired, tired, tired is the best way to describe how I feel. I am just feel beat up this week. I finally went to the Dr.'s this morning. Guess what I found out? I have double ear infections, sinus infections, and strep throat. I guess that is why I am so dang tired. It seems like this always happens to me. When I start doing so well with my exercising and eating, something goes wrong for me. I get sick, or I hurt myself and I get discouraged. Well not this time, It is time to beat these illnesses and get back on track. Hopefully I will be able to be back on track by Monday.

Laser Tag & Rollerskating

During the Christmas break we took the kids for some fun. We did Laser Tag and rollerskating. It was Taylor and Spencer's first time for both. They both started out slow on the skates, but by the end of two hours they were so much better.
We ended up taking them skating a second time during the break, because they loved it so much. I had a blast skating with them. It brought back great memories for me and they were impressed that there mom could skate. It was darker in the place and my camera's batteries died. I was able to get a few pictures though.
Jessica and Hunter invited some friends too.All of these boys are in our ward and good friends with Jess and Hunter. They all cracked me up.

Holiday Bowl-Go Ducks

My little boy Spencer was born in Eugene, Oregon. He is a Duck fan, (University of Oregon) were the rest of my family are Devil fan (Arizona State University.) The Ducks went to the Holiday Bowl, and ASU did not go to a bowl at all, and let me tell you Spencer let his brother and Dad know it. It is so funny to watch him talk trash. Of course when the Ducks are not playing he likes ASU too.
Well Doug and I thought it would be fun to buy him a big cupcake and had GO DUCKS written on it. By the time I thought about taking the picture he had eaten most of the green grass off of the cupcake.
Watching the game snuggled up in Dad's blanket. It was a cold day.
Notice the shirt.

Christmas pictures

Christmas eve dinner we always have Strawberry waffles, bacon, sausage, and juice.
My kids waiting on our bed to see if Santa came.
Taylor playing with her barbie set that Santa brought.
The kids checking things out. Spencer and Taylor playing the Wii. Mario Kart to be exact. The kids were so excited to get the Wii for Christmas, but not as excited as my friend Rachel's girls were. That was priceless.

Gingerbread House

The kids always have fun when it is time to make our Gingerbread house.
Why it says jump on it is beyond me. It is an inside joke for Jessica and Hunter
Why, Hi Bob? I don't know why either. They just are goofy. They did write Udall's on the front of the house.
Hunter wanted some of Jessica too, I guess.
But Jessica was going to get revenge. When the kids were done with the big house, they got to make their own.

New years Eve

I know it has been a very long time since I have blogged. I have not been motivated to post anything lately. I have so many pictures to share and events that have happened, but I also have been busy.
For New Year's Eve we just stayed home and enjoyed each other by playing games and doing puzzles, then we had a countdown to midnight and had sparkling apple cider. My kids look forward to the apple cider.
Jessica had other plans. You know plans of a teenager. Our stake combined with another stake and had a big New Years Eve dance. Jessica went with her friend Melody, (which we miss dearly, she moved last Saturday). The dance went until 1 am. They had all sorts of games, dancing, karaoke, and breakfast at midnight for the youth. Jessica had a blast. Her and Melody came back to our house and stayed up till 5am.
A friend took pictures at the dance.

This is how I started out my New Year's Eve. How did you start yours? For those that know me I always have my sunglasses on top of my head. Even at midnight and at home, there they are on top of my head. It is like they are a part of me. I know I have a problem.
